Re-painting Lincrusta
We have lincrusta in the hallway of our victorian home, which is to picture rail height and is currently mahogany coloured.
Unfortunatly this makes the hallway very dark and we are considering having it painted cream. My concern is whether this will spoil a feature of the house.
Would the lincrusta have been painted originally and would cream be a colour that might have been used in the late 1800's? |

Original Edwardian Damaged Lincrusta
Sadly, the original 1890s Lincrusta that is in our hallway is damaged and I am unable to find this original pattern that is under the Dado rail. Is it possible to buy copies of the original Lincrusta that is in our Edwardian hallway? |

painting
Hello. I love the gold highlight that you show on some of the installations. I am wondering though if there is an easier way of putting the gold on without having to painstakingly paint the raised areas by hand. The picture that acompanies this forum is an e example of a look that I would love to achieve. Please advise if there is a better method to achieve the look that is faster. Thank you! |
